An Evening of Fishing...

Steve decided he wanted to take the kids fishing late this afternoon. Hayli and Steve had gotten fishing polls for Christmas last year and they hadn't used them yet. Steve loaded the polls in the car and went to find a good spot to fish. Me and the kids met him over at the Bountiful Pond just west of the new LEGACY PARKWAY. He told me to head down 5th South and get on heading towards the dump. So I do this only to find that there ISN'T an EXIT at the dump like we thought there was. I then went clear into Centerville and took a dirt road in thinking it would conect us to the Pond... We'll just say I had to turn around and cut through West Bountiful and all the way back to 5th South to go OVER the FREEWAY not on it.... (thank you Steve) men and their directions.... LOL Needless to say the kids and I finally made it to the Pond to go fishing. We had a few bites but we never did catch anything. Then one of the polls got really tangled so there were 4 people fishing off of one poll. By this time its already 8:00 and we had not eaten dinner so we decide to go home and come back another day. It was great to be outside enjoying each other!!! Thank you Steve for such a great afternoon fishing together!!!

OHHH The Places Kids Fall To SLEEP...

Friday night I was up late getting the house clean for the weekend. The kids just wouldn't go to sleep and they were ohhh so tired. Just one of those days that they just wouldn't give in. Finally Kenli was the first to fall asleep on the couch covered in a couple of pillows. Hayli then went in and laid on Gracie's bed with Charlie and fell asleep. So that leaves Gracie bed less... where will she end up? On the salon chair in the hall way!!! I ended up waking Hayli up long enough to get into her bed and then put Kenli in her bed and then on to Gracie in her's. Good night and sleep tight Girls!!! MOM & DAD LOVE YOU FOREVER!!!!

Happy Birthday Gracie.... July 6th

Happy Birthday Gracie! We were in Vegas for Gracie's Birthday so we took the kids to Circus Circus. It was lots of fun!!! The kids loved playing all the games and winning prizes! When we got back to the Hotel they were pretty tired and went right to bed!

When we got home from Vegas we decided to have a little family Birthday Party for Gracie so we invited My Mom and little Brother's and Sister's and Steve's family as well. It was a nice little gathering as always!!! We love having our family and friends over!

Gracie even put her hand in the cake and that is the one thing I ABSOLUTELY LOVE about the kids' Birthday's!!! I always want them to dive into their cake and enjoy it!!! I don't even care if they get all messy because its THEIR SPECIAL DAY!!!

Thanks to everyone who came we love and appreciate you all! Thank you for the wonderful gifts as well!

Settie....Psssetti...Spaghetti...

Ya gotta love how kids say "SPAGHETTI" Hayli of course can say it correctly but Kenli and Gracie are still learning to pronounce it correctly. Kenli calls it Pssettie and Gracie calls it Settie!!!

Tonight I made my homemade Spaghetti for dinner. I haven't made it in quite some time and the kids LOVE IT!!! I guess I have really gained a nack for making now. People that have had my Spaghetti are now calling and asking how I make my sauce. Ok.... I don't think of myself as a "Gormet Chef" by any means but I think I do a pretty good job at what I do make! Since my family and friends enjoy it so much I decided to take pictures of it cooking and my kids eating... I guess I was desperate for something to BLOG tonight...LOL!!!! Any way here are the pictures of it and I hope you will all try the receipe and let me know what ya think. I make homemade garlic bread too!!! YUMMY!!!

SPAGHETTI
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 can mushrooms
  • 2 tsp butter
  • 1 lb hamburger
  • 1 can Italian style stewed tomatoes
  • 2 cans tomato sauce
  • Garlic salt
  • Italian seasoning
  • Salt
  • Pepper
Saute the onions, mushrooms, butter, garlic salt, salt, pepper & Italian seasoning together until the onions are translucent, then add your pound of hamburger. Then add your stewed tomatoes and tomato sauce. Simmer this for at least a half hour. The longer you simmer it the more the spices are brought out into the flavor.

GARLIC BREAD
  • French Bread
  • REAL Butter
  • Garlic Salt I would say 2 tbls aprox...
  • Minced Garlic (you can buy this in the jar)
Mix the butter and minced garlic and add the garlic salt to taste. But bread in half length wise and then spread the mixture on it. Bake at 400 for about 8 minutes or until golden brown.

Well I hope you all enjoy my funny little blog tonight and hope you try the Settie...Psssetti...Spaghetti... or however you all say it!!!

Lots of LOVE,
Teresa & Family

UTAH STATE FAIR 2008

Its that time of year once again....The Utah State Fair is one of our favorite things to do in the fall. Steve and I have enjoyed going to the different concerts and things since we have been married. We have seen several really good bands perform there. Now that we have kids our view of the Fair has changed dramatically. Its no longer for "US" its all about the kids and sharing in their joy of seeing the animals and doing the different activities that they have.

This year was really fun with all of the kids because they are all now big enough to truly enjoy all of it. One thing that they had this year that was really fun was this miniature "FARM" the kids had an absolute blast with this! Steve and I had fun helping the kids and watching them run from one area to the next.

We walked through out some of the different vendors and just really had a great time together as a family. After we did the little farm thing they had we went over and looked at the animals. First we went to the pigs (my favorite) they are so cute! As we were walking through all of a sudden I look over and there is a pig peeing on top of another pigs head!!! We all stopped and started laughing at this and what was even funnier is how the pig that was getting peed on didn't even move... it turned its head a little bit and closed its eye!!! Its just funny how animals just don't care about anything around them and they are so relaxed and don't even get up to move when peed on! Maybe we should all take a second look at how the animals are with each other and remember that even though we may get peed on life can only get better!!!

After the pigs we saw the cows and you would have thought that Kenli had died and gone to Heaven!!! She thought they were the neatest things ever! The entire time she was looking at them and walking through she was mooing! When the cows would moo back she would giggle and say they were talking to her!!!

It only got better from there because after the cows were the sheep and goats!!! Once again Kenli was baaing and naaing at the sheep and goats and they would talk back to her! Hayli started to do it too and it was fun to see the kids interacting with the animals like that. The next thing you know we kept hearing a baby goat and we kept looking to see if we could find them. We looked and looked and looked and never found were that little itty bitty sound was coming from. We heard it again... we stopped to listen to see if we could hear it again and sure enough we did... Hayli bent down closer to the gates and she hears it again...Hayli starts laughing and says MOM...I found the baby goat! I said were is it...she said its in the stroller...It was GRACIE making the baby goat noise! We all started to giggle in amazement of Gracie and her animal noise capabilities!!! It really did sound exactly like a baby goat! We got a great laugh out of that!

Its hard to believe how fast time goes by. One minute its just Steve and I and then 3 years later here comes Hayli! We did have to wait several....I mean SEVERAL years before we were blessed with our second child Kenli. What a blessing she was after 2 years of fertility...and wouldn't you know after 8 years of infertility trouble who would have guessed after we had Kenli we would be blessed with Gracie only 18 months later. Heavenly Father truly has a plan for all of us!!! I only mention that because of how much fun it has been going through different stages of going to the fair...First its the 2 of us...Then the 3 of us... and now the 4 of us!!! How I wouldn't change it for the world!!! I love my family so very much and am very grateful for this wonderful plan that Heavenly Father has in store for me and my family.

KITTY...KITTY...KITTIES

On May 30th 2008 our cat Tinkerbell had kittens. This happened to be the last day of school for Hayli and we knew that Tink was due at any time. We decided to go out for dinner and we checked on her before we left and there was no sign of kittens coming. When we got home Tinkerbell was at the door waiting for us as usual and we all came in and went about out regular business. We had just gotten sat down for the evening when Kenli went chasing after Tinkerbell into my room. The next thing we know Kenli is running out of my room in complete HYSTARIA!!! She was screaming, crying and yelling something all at the same time. All we could make out was there is a RAT!!! A RAT we all exclaim! Where is the RAT Kenli... where did you see this? She says to me its under your bed by Tinkerbell and its going to get her she cries. Steve the "TOUGH GUY" he is.... LOL NOT! Says "T" go see what it is! OHHH ya... that's right ME hunting for the so called "RAT". So I go into my bedroom not knowing what I may find and I look under my bed... the next thing I see are these two yellow glowing eyes with fear in them looking right into mine!!! Thank goodness it turns out to be Tinkerbell... what a relife that is but when I reach for her I felt something wet on the ground! I can't see what it is so I have to move the bed out a bit to get to it. Once I got things moved I notice its a little teeny tiny kitten!!! OHHH MY GOSH I hollar! Steve its a KITTEN not a RAT!!! I have Hayli grab the big tote to put Tinkerbell into with the blanket so we can make her as comfortable as possible. For the next few hours I get to play the "VET TECH/Mid Wife". Ohhh this was so much fun. We let the kids even come in and enjoy this experience that most people would never get to do. Tinkerbell gave birth to 6 kittens that evening. There were 3 Black ones, 2 Grey ones and one striped one. Ohhh they were so little and cute! The "RUNT" was so little and just wasn't as active as the other kittens. I kept trying to help it by putting it on the teet to nurse but it just wasn't strong enough to keep going. He/She passed in the night and I knew that this was going to happen. That is just nature happening and we had to explain this to the kids. They all took it rather well. Sadly so we did end up loosing one other kitten after a couple of weeks and she was the striped one she was not as big or strong as the others either. I was only expecting Tinkerbell to have only 3 or 4 kittens NOT 6!!! We were very happy to enjoy the ones she had. Once the kittens started getting a little older they became more active and social. Over the 6 weeks we enjoyed them so much and the kids were really good with them. I think this helped the kids become more nurturing and loving to animals and others. My cousin Raganne put dubs on the 2 black kittens from the begining and we decided to keep one of the grey ones, the last grey kitten went to one of the guys from the fire department so we at least get to have updates on how they are all doing. The one we kept her name is Charlie and she is just the most precious kitten. So loving and kind just like her Mom Tinkerbell.

OVER THE HILL

Special guest "The Grim Reaper"

Me and the girls decorated the yard for Steve's 40th like a GRAVE YARD! We had great Over the Hill signs and of course the GRIM REAPER! We invited Steve's family and My Family for the big bash (we even got the guys from the Station to come pay him a visit on this historic event) LOL

Brad Freeze, BC Steve Moss, Steve, Clint Jeppson, Captain Matt Shupe

Steve's sister Tiffany brought out Steve a "Girly" cake! It was really cute and in fact Steve was even BLUSHING!!! I think that was the best part!

Just Look at that GRIN!!!

One thing that makes Steve's Birthday special every year is our FIRST born child (Hayli) was BORN ON HIS BIRTHDAY! Ever since this day Steve has told me he doesn't need a Birthday gift because I gave it to him the day Hayli was born! That is just the most precious thing for him to say! I love you BABE and hope you had a GREAT 40th Birthday! You deserve it for all you do for our family! Thanks a million!!!

Chillin with the Family

Hey all... I decided to just add some pictures of other family outings and that. Hope you enjoy them... I belive the pictures at Val's was for Mom's Birthday.
