Family night to Thanksgiving Point LIGHTS...

This year since we are in Utah County now we had a family night out and went to see the lights at Thanksgiving Point. They were so beautiful and the KIDS LOVED IT!!! Thank you Steve for all you do for our family and for taking us to the lights. It was great fun! Hope you enjoy some of the pictures we got of the lights. They aren't nearly as cool in pictures as they were in person!

Christmas Eve party at Aunt Cheralee's

Each year my Aunt Cheralee hosts the Christmas Eve party for my Mom's side of the family. We always have oyster stew & chili as the main dish and then a bunch of side dishes and treats. This year I made stuffed mushrooms & a rice dish that turned out to be a great hit... at least I think it was. My sister Nichole made 2 different types of DELICIOUS COOKIES they were to DIE FOR!!! Mom made her famous fudge and pumpkin roll, Aunt Cathy made her ROLLS and Aunt Karen did her amazing Jello!!! Shawn & Angie brought yummy cookies as well with a caramel on the top.

Well it never fails that Cheralee does something wild and crazy and well once again she prevails in delight of FREAKING ME OUT!!! One of the kids (Gracie come to find out) pulled off some fur off of a stuffed rat. Well Cheralee had one of the caramel cookies and had taken the caramel part of it and mixed it with the fur. Well I went into the living room to see what all the fuss was about and well as I walk in here comes Cheralee with this crap looking thing!!! I swear to you it looked exactly like a pile of DOG CRAP! I said to her that I couldn't believe she could just pick that up with her bare hands! I went to get a tissue for her to take care of her dogs pooh that was on the floor! Well she started chasing me around the house with it and rolling it in between her fingers and laughing her guts out. Along with everyone else that KNEW WHAT WAS GOING ON!!! This was so not funny and then she started to sniff it and act like she was going to eat it! I started to gag and dry heave! OHHH MY HELL I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO LOOSE IT ALL!!! Oh it was nasty even now to think of it! It makes my throat get thick!

Its always great to visit with family and its now become a tradition for the little ones to break open a pinata and then a game of BINGO for everyone that wants to join in. We all bring things for the pinata and also prizes we have collected to contribute for BINGO. Grandpa & Grandma Schumann give us all tooth brushes for our gift... so I think this has now become tradition for them.
The guys started playing the "slap game" and also something called "bloody knuckles" not sure what that is but is was sure funny watching them and how one would have their hands up by there head while the other had their palms together kinda like they were praying but pointing toward the other player... any way it was STRANGE but they were having fun. Natalie and Alison where playing in the hall way some clap type thing that "GIRLS" do overall we all had a great time together.
Hayli & Steve were out doing their Santa parties so they weren't in attendance. We miss them while they are gone but the have fun together. Its a great time for them to have Daddy Daughter time together.

Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas this year!
