Too BIG for her own BRITCHES...

Ya know it is really hard facing the fact that my little girl is growing up! Sadly so Hayli is now going into Jr. High and is now a TWEEN (that's what they call them now...the kids thinking they are a teenager...) LOL Hayli has really matured and I'm not quite sure I'm ready for this. Just for starters...."BOYS" are now looking at her UGHHHH We have a pass to our local REC CENTER and we go swimming nearly every day. Well its hard to see these cute little boys (thats what I will call them) ok... some teenagers too come up to her and tell her how CUTE she is and then they ask her to GO OUT!!!! WHAT THE HECK is that all about!!! She was all excited and came to tell me about it and I just nearly died!!! I AM SO NOT READY FOR THIS!!!! I asked Hayli what does it mean to "GO OUT" her answer back is... "MOM...ITS JUST A SAYING!" what does that mean..."WELL IF THEIR FRIENDS SAY SHE IS CUTE THEN THE OTHER GUY WILL SAY WE ARE GOING OUT" OK... so its just a status thing then? "YA MOM...DON'T YOU KNOW THAT?" NOPE I didn't but now I DO!!! In one week Hayli was asked out by 3 boys and dumped by one... ROTFL NICE!!! What do I do.... STEVE IS NOT AT ALL HAPPY ABOUT THIS AND IN FACT HIS EXACT WORDS WERE..."IF I WAS TO HAVE SEEN YOU TALKING TO A BOY I WOULD HAVE GONE OVER THERE AND ASKED HIM WHAT THE HELL HE THOUGHT HE WAS DOING TALKING TO MY DAUGHTER!!!" Have you ever heard of a condition called...O.P.F.S. OVER PROTECTIVE FATHER SYNDROME... Well now we have... I feel so bad for HAYLI and whatever BOY's ever take her out once she is 16... Only 4 more years until that day comes... Trust me we can wait!!! Here are a few pictures of Hayli and how she is becoming such a beauty...

24th of July with my MOM & my KIDO's

Well to start off this fun filled weekend Steve had to work AGAIN on the Holiday. Since Steve was working the Girls and I decided to go down and have a girls weekend with my MOM. We went down to her house in Orem and had a swim party & bar-b-q we ate pasta salad and steak, hamburgers, hot dogs & fresh fruit. It was all so yummy. We decided to go and see the fire works over in the PG/Cedar Hills area. On the way there we stopped to get an ice cream cone at the local ARCTIC CIRCLE heck we even got one for the DOG (Houston) he thought that was HEAVEN. It was so cute watching chow down on it I had to take a picture. Hayli took pictures of everyone eating their ICE CREAM too. The fireworks were so GOOD and we were really close. These fireworks aren't done by the city or anything like that. Its just a neighborhood that has gotten a bunch of them and they have lit them off for the past few years. After the fireworks we headed for a ride and decided to go up to SQUAW PEAK up PROVO CANYON and take a look at the valley lights. The view was so beautiful it took your breath away. While we were there we got to see a lightening storm go thru and then the rain hit us. It smelt so good the fresh rain and clean air all together. I love that so much :) We all had a great time swimming on Friday evening before the fireworks. On Saturday we went and did a little shopping for school clothes and then took another dip in the pool. All in All we had a great weekend with my Mom and my brother's and little sister. Thanks Mom for such a great time.

Fun in the SUN...

This week we decided to hit the pool as often as we could. So far we have gone 3 times in a row and are most likely going to go the next 2 days as well. The first day was great...no sunburns...the second day all of us got a little sunburn and on the third day NO sunburn. What I contribute this to is the fact that on the first day I had my normal sunscreen "NO AD 60 block" on the active ingredients I always look for the ingredient TITANIUM DIOXIDE the second day I was out and ended up getting some from the gas station to avoid having to make a trip to WALMART. Well we FRIED on the second day. I as debating on going today but decided to get more of the NORMAL sunscreen and would ya know....NO SUNBURN!!! I am sticking to my regular sunscreen. Hayli, Kenli & Gracie have never had sunburns because I have always used sunscreen that has had the titanium dioxide since Hayli was born. Its harder to find but WELL WORTH IT!!!

Kenli is becoming a good little floater in the pool and she is jumping off the sides and plugging her nose. Hayli is a good swimmer and the boys just keep on looking at her...not sure I'm ready for her to be MATURE...ugh!!! Gracie is not much of a water bug like the other two. She normally just clings to me the entire time with her arms around my neck. This year she has ventured off to holding onto my thumbs and bouncing in the water. HATES GETTING HER HEAD WET!!! But today...she was holding onto the side of the pool and bouncing... YAY!!! What a big step for her...by the end of the day she had even tried to put her head back into the water to get her hair wet. WAY TO GO GRACIE!!! I am so proud of my little ones they are truly wonderful blessings from my HEAVENLY FATHER and I thank Him so very much for them.

Hope you enjoy the pool pictures and videos. We sure have enjoyed going to the pool this summer.

I think I'm caught up for now....

Thanks for checking in with our family. I think I am caught up for now...until I download more pictures off the camera and whatever other Holidays are around the corner. We love you all and hope you enjoy checking in on the Chaffin family! MUCH LOVE TO YOU ALL!!!!

Sleep over on the Trampoline...

Hayli had a sleep over one night with her best friend Marissa while Natalie was here. They wanted to sleep out on the trampoline but wanted me to sleep out there with them. Its a good thing Steve was home so he could be in the house with Kenli & Gracie. Hayli, Marissa & Natalie were all wound up and played and giggled and had a great time until it was about 3:00 am. I finally said we needed to go to bed but they had to take pictures first. What a night...happy to say I only got 1 mosquito bite....to their 4 & 5 & 6....and a few more on some of them... LOL

Happy 3rd Birthday GRACIE...

Happy Birthday Gracie! We had our family up for dinner and cake & ice cream. I made "shepherds pie" with salad & rolls. It turned out really nice. One thing that was funny is since Steve and I have been married (15 years) My MOM and Steve's DAD have never met each other. CRAZY!!! It was great to have everyone together and we all had a great time visiting and sharing our love for GRACIE!!! We love you sweetheart!

Hayli and her friend Marissa thought it would be fun to shove cake in Gracie's face...well not so much fun for Gracie! She cried and cried until I got her all cleaned up. It was fun to see her reaction and I really thought she would have fun with it and possibly through cake at them back. SADLY that's not at all what happened.
