4th of July... Homestead

My Dad and Karen come up to the HOMESTEAD for the 4th of July each year. All of the kids end up going up to visit and pic-nic and watch the fire works. Me and the girls went up this year since Steve was on shift sadly. (all the firefighters that were on Vacation leave were all called back in to work because of the fire potential and they were short handed...Thank goodness Steve didn't take it off.) On our way to the HOMESTEAD Kenli said she wasn't feeling very good and that her tummy hurt. I figured we had a blanket and she could just nap until she felt better, and that is what she did. The funny thing is we were there for like 3 hours and as soon as we were ready to eat she sat up and said..."I FINK I FEEL BETTA NOW MOMMA" after that she was just fine. Strange but heck we had so much yummy food and a great time hanging out. We all played kick ball and some of the family went swimming. My kids were quite upset with me for not taking their swim suits but what do ya do...the joys of being a MOM! All in all we had a great time and the best part was we got to spend time with our family.
