February 22, 2009 another litter of kittens....

Well, Tinkerbell had another litter of kittens. This time she had 5 kittens and they are all grey tabbies. What a bunch of cuties they are. She had 2 sets of girl twins and one single boy. The first set of twins are lighter than the second set and then the little boy is a long haired darker tabby. The day they were born they were all gone! What a blessing that was to not have to look for homes for them.

The whole birthing process I think is so important for kids to experience. It just teaches them how beautiful life is and for the chance to be able to tell others about that NOT EVERYONE will ever be able to witness. I really think that pets are a very important part of life and I don't know that I could ever not have a pet. They just have such personalities and unconditional love for everyone. So if you don't have a pet...GET ONE!!!! lol

Kids Valentines...

PLAYING CATCH UP....

Sorry everyone its been awhile since I have posted and I have a TON to catch up on! But its better late than never right.... LOL I always say... "IT'S BETTER LATE AT THE GOLDEN GATE THAN TO ARRIVE IN HELL ON TIME" Hope you all enjoy all the new posts! Love to everyone!

Steve's VALENTINES PRESENT...

For Valentines me and the kids made Steve a "CANDY BAR POSTER" It was so cute and funny! Steve really enjoyed his gift. He has never gotten one of these before and thought it was the neatest thing ever! Its amazing that how the most inexpensive "HOME MADE" gifts mean so much more than anything else that could be bought. I love you STEVE SO VERY MUCH!!!

Hayli & her R.A.D. KIDS testing....

At Hayli's school they had the RAD KIDS program. This is a program to where they teach kids how to protect themselves. Hayli really enjoyed this and has had fun showing her sisters what she has learned.

BOOTY BEAT...

OK... So as you all know I have been working out and trying to lose some weight. I was up late watching TV one evening and saw a commercial on "Flirty Girls Fitness" they are videos that you work out to and they had some before and after pictures and these girls looked amazing. They were only $9.99 plus shipping and handling so I paid a total of $21.00 for 2 videos.

Well they arrived and I didn't do anything with them for a few days and then had gone to my Cousins house and they wanted to burn a copy of them. I finally decided I had better try it and see what I think. Well the name says it all!!! MY BOOTY IS BEAT and I am SO SORE!!!! Raganne my cousin called to let me know how sore she was from doing it and ya know I'm right there with her!!! I worked muscles I never knew I had! WOW!!! So if you are looking for a great workout I highly recommend these videos!!!

Keep up all the good work and I sure hope these get easier the more I do them!

MY DAD!!!

WORLDS GREATEST DADDY!

I just wanted to take a few minutes to make tribute to my DAD! I love him so very much and wish that we lived closer to him. I guess you could say that I have a sense of jealousy towards my Step Sister and her family that now live in St. George. I'm NOT MAD BY ANY MEANS just wish it was ME and MY FAMILY TOO! The quality time that they get to spend with him being so close. OHHHH GREAT....HERE ARE THE TEARS now. I love my Dad so very much and am so grateful for him and his wife Karen. They are two of the greatest people.

My Dad came up a couple weeks ago for my Uncle's Retirement party and we went to dinner with him and my Sister Valerie & her family my Aunt Carol & her Daughter Mandy and her hubby and kids were there to. It was so much fun and SO GREAT to sit and laugh with them all. I wish we had more times like these with my Dad.

My kids LOVE him so much and always ask about him. For Christmas my Sister Val sent me an older picture of me and her with our Daddy and the kids thought it was funny to see Grandps looking so young. He still looks young and like a HIP GRANDPA! My little Kenli just can't get enough of him and Gracie calls everyone Grandpa because she loves him so much too. Hayli is crazy about Grandpa too she has gone on little pick-nick-hikes with him and she LOVED every minute she got to spend with her Grandpa! She loves to go fishing with him too!

I remember when I was younger my Dad taking us fishing with Grandma and Grandpa and it being some of the greatest times of my life! I am so grateful for the Priesthood that my Dad holds and the example he is to me. I am so very proud of him in all of his accomplishments! Dad you TRULY are amazing and one of my HEROES!!! I love you and miss spending time with you. I know that I need to make more of an effort to come to St. George and visit I'm just afraid of my kids making everyone crazy... LOL OHHH that's right they already do! LOL That is just kids for you right. I am sure they are just paying me back for all the things I did when I was little.

I love you Dad so very much and want you to know this! Thank you for all you do for me and my family! I love you forever!

Much love,
Teresa

FITNESS UPDATE...

(Music compliments of my workout tunes on my MP3 player)

Well I am happy to say that I have stuck with it for 3 weeks now!!! I can't begin to tell you how very HAPPY I am and how GOOD I feel! Its amazing at how you can set your mind to do something and you CAN DO IT!!! I truly believe that if you focus your energy into something it WILL HAPPEN! When I first started it took me 30 minutes to walk a mile. I am now doing a mile in 19 minutes! I walk on the treadmill for an hour so that makes for 3 miles a day! WOW it really is happening! Yesterday I decided to add the exercise ball into my routine. As the kids watched TV I worked out on the exercise ball for 45 minutes. After about 15 minutes of doing that I thought that my arms weren't doing enough so I had one of the kids go and get me some cans of beans. I weighed them and they are a pound each so I did 4 sets of 50 on different arm things for the last 30 minutes I was on the ball. My arms are a little sore today but that is all GOOD and to be expected. Today I was laying on the floor doing LEG exercises while Gracie was crying and trying to lay on me the entire time. She finally ended up on my chest as I did my workout so I think maybe that could count for a couple extra calories burned.

I have dropped a pant size and have noticed they are feeling loose but the strange thing is that my shirt size has almost dropped 2 sizes (NO MY BOOBS AREN'T ANY SMALLER!!!) LOL I can actually feel RIBS!!! WHAT I have RIBS under there! WOW how long has that been since I have felt ribs. LOVE THE FEELING! I just can't wait for the day that I can FEEL MY HIP BONES! That is the goal! Still have only lost the 5 pounds but inches works for me for now! LOVING EVERY MINUTE OF IT!!!

I hope that maybe I can help influence someone out there to get in shape too! YOU TOO CAN DO IT!!! I know you can!!!

Thanks to everyone on your support! One other fun thing is Steve has been working out to for quite some time now and when we HUG we can put our arms all the way around each other! What a great feeling that is!

Love to you all!

Hayli's tribute to her Daddy the fireman!

Hayli loves this poem and with recent events with a large refinery fire that her Dad was first in on she wanted to put this up on our family blog! She LOVES her Daddy so very much and is very proud of him and all he does for our family. We are all so proud of him and he works so hard to make sure we have the things we need. Thank you to our beloved FATHER & my Beloved HUSBAND!!! We love you and are with you every step of every day! Love you FOREVER!!!! Hope you all enjoy this Poem Hayli found!!!

Daddy's Poem
Her hair was up in a pony tail,
her favorite dress tied with a bow.
Today was Daddy's Day at school,
and she couldn't wait to go.

But her mommy tried to tell her,
that she probably should stay home.
Why the kids might not understand,
if she went to school alone.

But she was not afraid;
she knew just what to say.
What to tell her classmates
of why he wasn't there today.

But still her mother worried,
for her to face this day alone.
And that was why once again,
she tried to keep her daughter home.

But the little girl went to school
eager to tell them all.
About a dad she never sees
a dad who never calls.

There were daddies along the wall in back,
for everyone to meet.
Children squirming impatiently,
anxious in their seats

One by one the teacher called
a student from the class.
To introduce their daddy,
as seconds slowly passed.

At last the teacher called her name,
every child turned to stare.
Each of them was searching,
a man who wasn't there.

"Where's her daddy at?"
she heard a boy call out.
"She probably doesn't have one,"
another student dared to shout.

And from somewhere near the back,
she heard a daddy say,
"Looks like another deadbeat dad,
too busy to waste his day."

The words did not offend her,
as she smiled up at her Mom.
And looked back at her teacher,
who told her to go on.
And with hands behind her back,
slowly she began to speak.
And out from the mouth of a child,
came words incredibly unique.

"My Daddy couldn't be here,
because he lives so far away.
But I know he wishes he could be,
since this is such a special day.
And though you cannot meet him,
I wanted you to know.
All about my daddy,
and how much he loves me so.

He loved to tell me stories
he taught me to ride my bike.
He surprised me with pink roses,
and taught me to fly a kite.

We used to share fudge sundaes,
and ice cream in a cone.
And though you cannot see him.
I'm not standing here alone.

"Cause my daddy's always with me,
even though we are apart
I know because he told me,
he'll forever be in my heart"

With that, her little hand reached up,
and lay across her chest.
Feeling her own heartbeat,
beneath her favorite dress.

And from somewhere here in the crowd of dads,
her mother stood in tears.
Proudly watching her daughter,
who was wise beyond her years.

For she stood up for the love
of a man not in her life.
Doing what was best for her,
doing what was right.

And when she dropped her hand back down,
staring straight into the crowd.
She finished with a voice so soft,
but its message clear and loud.

"I love my daddy very much,
he's my shining star.
And if he could, he'd be here,
but heaven's just too far
You see he was a fireman
and died just this past year
When airplanes hit the towers
and taught Americans to fear.

But sometimes when I close my eyes,
it's like he never went away."
And then she
closed her eyes,
and saw him there that day.
And to her mothers amazement,
she witnessed with surprise.
A room full of daddies and children,
all starting to close their eyes.

Who knows what they saw before them,
who knows what they felt inside.
Perhaps for merely a second,
they saw him at her side.
"I know you're with me Daddy,"
to the silence she called out.
And what happened next made believers,
of those once filled with doubt.

Not one in that room could explain it,
for each of their eyes had been closed.
But there on the desk beside her,
was a fragrant long-stemmed pink rose.

And a child was blessed, if only for a moment,
by the love of her shining star.
And given the gift of believing,
that heaven is never too far.

They say it takes a minute to find a special
person, an hour to appreciate them,
a day to love them, but then an entire
life to forget them.
